District Partners is supporting a global organization undergoing a large-scale modernization of its Finance function. With multiple operating entities, evolving reporting needs, and a desire to strengthen financial processes and technology, the company is investing heavily in building a more automated, scalable, and data-driven Finance infrastructure.

As part of this effort, the organization is creating a Manager of Financial Systems role to serve as the connective link between Accounting, Technology, and external system partners. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the future-state financial systems landscape.

The Manager of Financial Systems will lead systems modernization initiatives, including the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a new ERP. This role will also improve month-end close processes, introduce automation, support new lease accounting and reconciliation tools, and standardize workflows across all legal entities.

Although this role has no direct reports at this time, it carries high ownership and visibility with the Finance leadership team.

What You'll Do:

Financial Systems Leadership & Transformation

  • Serve as the primary owner of finance systems, ensuring accuracy, performance, and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Lead the end-to-end ERP modernization effort—from requirements gathering and vendor review to configuration, testing, rollout, and adoption.
  • Standardize financial processes, internal controls, and documentation across multiple entities.
  • Support integrations, data mapping, data cleansing, and migration strategies during transformation initiatives.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline the month-end close and reconciliation processes.
  • Evaluate and implement new solutions such as lease accounting platforms, close automation tools, and reconciliation systems.
  • Reduce manual effort through workflow improvements and system-driven automation.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Accounting, Finance, IT, Operations, and external consultants to ensure systems support the broader business.
  • Translate accounting and reporting requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Develop clear documentation including process maps, system workflows, and training materials.

Governance, Controls & Data Quality

  • Strengthen data governance, master data standards, and system controls across the Finance ecosystem.
  • Ensure integrations and reporting support accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.

What You'll Have:

  • 4–10 years of experience in financial systems, ERP implementation, accounting technology, or finance transformation roles.
  • A blended background in Accounting and Information Systems is ideal but not required.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes such as Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash.
  • Experience improving the month-end close or implementing automation tools (e.g., BlackLine, FloQast, RPA) preferred.
  • Ability to convert business requirements into system specifications.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a newly created role with evolving priorities and high visibility.

What This Role Offers:

  • Newly created position with the ability to build a financial systems function from the ground up.
  • Direct influence on a multi-year Finance Transformation roadmap.
  • Exposure to leadership and decision-makers across the organization.
  • Opportunity to modernize legacy systems and implement a next-generation ERP.
  • Meaningful impact on process efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across multiple entities.
